Repeat Prescriptions

If your doctor agrees, you may obtain repeat prescriptions as follows:

• tick the appropriate medication on the computer slip and hand the slip in at reception
• send it in by post
• order online via the form on this page

We regret that we cannot accept any telephone requests for repeat prescriptions

Allow 2 working days for us to deal with your request pick up your prescription at the counter OR we will post it back to you if you supply us with a stamped addressed envelope.

The practice only provides repeat prescriptions for 2 months supply and patients who intend to travel abroad for long periods i.e. 3 months or over will have to make arrangements abroad to obtain their medication.  

Prescriptions Charges and Exemptions

Extensive exemption and remission arrangements protect those likely to have difficulty in paying charges (NHS prescription and dental charges, optical and hospital travel costs).

The NHS prescription charge is a flat-rate amount which successive Governments have thought it reasonable to charge for those who can afford to pay for their medicines.  Prescription prepayment certificates (PPCs) offer real savings for people who need extensive medication.
